Julia is a semi-finalist in the prestigious Daegu International Opera Awards. She will compete in the semi-finals in Berlin on April 16.
I am excited to announce that I have been selected as one of 37 young dramatic sopranos worldwide to compete in the Semi-Finals of the Elizabeth Connell Prize, sponsored by the Joan Sutherland/Richard Bonynge Foundation. I will compete in Round 2 in NYC on June 5.
This year, I will be making two role debuts: Cio-Cio-San in a concert of Madame Butterfly with Raylynmor Opera (and covering the fantastic Alexandra Loutsion for the other 2 performances), and Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus in her debut at the Staller Center for the Arts. Cast includes Sidney Outlaw as Eisenstein. Directed by iconic soprano, Brenda Harris, and conducted by David Lawton.
